Activity Log
The Activity Log records platform-level events across your account — things that happened, not optimization decisions. This is the place to check when you want to understand what changed and when.
What it tracks
Audience events
- Custom audience creation triggered and completed
- Audience refreshes (when a stale audience is updated)
- Audience archived
Campaign events
- Campaign bulk updates
- Campaign drafts created
- Campaigns archived
Bid Agent events
- Bid Agent activated for a set of campaigns
- Bid Agent deactivated for a set of campaigns
Lead events
- New lead converted
Integration events
- Connections and disconnections for: Facebook, Google Ads, Instagram, LinkedIn, Microsoft Ads, Reddit, Salesforce, Slack, Twitter
- Interruptions and manual reconnects for: Marketo, HubSpot, Eloqua, Pardot
- Disconnections for: G2, Google, LinkedIn, Meta, Reddit, Salesforce, Slack, Twitter
Filters
- Author — Filter by the team member who performed the action
- Campaign Name — Narrow to events related to a specific campaign
- Experiment Name — Narrow to events related to a specific experiment
- Date Range — Select a custom date range, up to the last 90 days
Dashboard live feed
A snapshot of your most recent Activity Log entries also appears on the Dashboard homepage. The feed shows the latest 100 events across all log types and refreshes when you load the page. Click All Logs to go to the full Logs page.
Experiments Log
The Experiments Log shows every optimization action taken on your experiments — both by the Metadata optimizer and by your team manually. Use this log to understand why an experiment was paused, what the optimizer changed, and who made a manual adjustment.
What it tracks
- Automatic optimizer actions — bid adjustments and daily budget optimizations made by the platform
- Auto-pause events — experiments paused automatically when a performance threshold was breached (CPL, CPC, CTR, or Cost per MQL rules)
- Manual actions — bid changes, budget changes, restarts, and pauses performed by a team member
Columns
- Optimized by — Who or what triggered the action: either
Optimizer(platform-automated) orUser: Name(manual action by a team member) - Action — Type of action taken:
Daily budget optimization,Auto-Pause, bid update, etc. - Actual Result — Performance data at the time of the decision, e.g. Impressions, Clicks, Leads, Spend
- Budget Group — The budget group the experiment belongs to
- Experiment — The experiment name
- Date — Timestamp of the action
- Status — Whether the action was applied
The "Actual Result" column — how data is calculated
The numbers shown in Actual Result tell you what the optimizer was looking at when it made its decision. Hover over the info icon on any row to see the exact calculation window used.
For budget optimizations: The experiment score is calculated based on data from the last 30 days with spend. If an experiment has been spending for less than 30 days, all-time data is used instead.
For auto-pause rules (CPL, CPC, CTR, Cost per MQL): Performance is calculated based on the last 30 days with spend, or all-time if spend history is less than 30 days. Additional rules:
- CPC and CTR rules: an experiment will not be paused until it has reached at least 3 clicks
- CPL rules: based on last 30 days with spend (or all-time if less than 30 days of spend)
Filters
Use the date picker and experiment selector to narrow the log to a specific time period or set of experiments.
Tip: When you click View log from an experiment's performance chart, the Experiments Log automatically pre-filters to that specific day and those specific experiments — no need to set filters manually.
00:00 to 23:59 for that date.Budget Groups Log
The Budget Groups Log shows changes made to your budget groups over time — spend pacing, budget allocations, and adjustments within each group.
What it tracks
- Budget allocated per period
- Amount spent within the period
- Percentage of budget spent (pacing)
- Changes made to budget group settings
Selecting a time period
Use the time frame selector to view budget group activity for any historical period — last month, last quarter, or a custom date range. The log reflects the pacing and spend data for the period you select, not just the current month.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far back can I see logs?
The Activity Log and Experiments Log show data for the last 90 days. The Budget Groups Log reflects the selected time frame.
Can I see who made a manual change?
Yes — in the Experiments Log, the Optimized by column shows either Optimizer (automated) or the name of the team member who made the change.
Why does a paused experiment not show up in the Experiments Log?
If an experiment was paused manually from outside the platform (e.g., directly in the ad channel), it may not appear. The log only records actions taken within Metadata.
What is the Dashboard live feed?
The Dashboard homepage shows a snapshot of the latest 100 events from across all log types. It's a quick-glance view — click All Logs to access the full Logs page with filters.
Can I export logs?
Log export is not currently available from the Logs page.
