Customize your agents and notifications
On this page
Give each agent standing instructions, review what your agents remember, choose how long Mei waits for you, track your feedback, and set browser notifications. All of it is in Settings: click your account name at the bottom of the rail, then Settings.
Write instructions for an agent
- Go to Settings > Instructions. The account menu's Agent instructions item opens the same page with Mei selected.
- Pick an agent from the list. Max isn't active in the beta, so instructions for him have no effect.
- Write your rules. For example:
- "Always lead with a one-line TL;DR before details."
- "Prefer LinkedIn over Meta for B2B campaigns."
- Click Save.
Instructions apply to that agent in every chat, for everyone in the account. You can write up to 8,000 characters per agent. Safety rules always take precedence over your instructions. To remove an agent's instructions, click Reset to default.
Memory
Agents save what's worth keeping between conversations: your corrections, preferences, campaign history, lessons learned and mistakes to avoid. Memories belong to your account and every agent can use them.
Settings > Memory lists each memory with its category, the agent that saved it and the date. To delete one, hover over it and click the × (Delete this memory).
You can also manage memory in chat:
- "Remember that our fiscal year starts in February."
- "What do you remember about our brand voice?"
- "Forget the note about the Q1 budget."
Answers
By default, Mei's questions, plans and confirmations count down 5 minutes. When time runs out, she applies her pick, and a plan expires without being approved.
Go to Settings > Answers and turn on Wait for my answers to remove the countdown. Mei then waits up to 24 hours for you. The setting is yours alone. It follows you to any browser, and it applies from Mei's next question.
Feedback
Settings > Feedback lists the reports you sent through Help & support and the replies you gave a thumbs down. Each shows its status: Received, Team is checking or Fixed. Click Open conversation to go back to the chat it came from. To flag a reply, click the thumbs down under it and say what was wrong.
Notifications
MetadataONE can send browser notifications so you can step away while the team works. They fire only when the MetadataONE tab is hidden or you're looking at a different conversation.
- Go to Settings > Notifications.
- Turn on Enable notifications, and allow notifications when your browser asks.
- Choose the triggers:
- New creatives: Zoe delivers an ad creative. Four or more at once arrive as one notification.
- Approval needed: Mei is waiting for your approval. The timer keeps running. If you miss it, the plan expires and nothing is built.
- Mei is ready: a response is finished and Mei is waiting for you.
- Click Send test notification to check your computer isn't muting them.
These settings are saved in this browser only. If notifications show as blocked, allow them in your browser's site settings, then come back.
