Approvals and decisions
On this page
Your AI team checks with you before it builds or changes anything. You'll see three kinds of card in the chat: a campaign plan, question cards, and confirmation cards. When a card is waiting and the chat is closed, the Talk to your agent button shows a marker; hover over it to see "Mei needs you".
Approve the plan
Before building a campaign, Mei shows a Campaign plan card with the key facts. Click Full plan to see all of it. The card counts down ("Expires in …s").
- Click Approve to start building.
- Click the pencil to edit the plan, for example the objective, budget, channels, ad types, offer or cost-per-lead ceiling. Mei answers with a revised plan for you to approve.
- Click Reject to stop.
You can also reply in the chat. A reply with "stop", "cancel", "wait", "hold on", "don't" or "do not" rejects the plan, and Mei gets your reply as the reason. Any other reply approves the plan as shown. If the plan publishes a custom audience to your ad accounts, only Approve goes ahead; anything you type sends it back to Mei.
If you don't respond
After 5 minutes the plan expires. Nothing is approved or built. The card reads "This plan can no longer be approved here." Click Ask Mei again to get it back.
Question cards
When Mei needs a choice, such as an objective, channels or ad types, she shows a card with her recommendation already selected.
- Keep the selection or change it.
- Click Continue.
The card shows how long you have. When time runs out, Mei's pick is applied and the card notes "Mei's pick, applied when time ran out". A card with no pick times out instead. Click Reply to tell Mei your answer in the chat. A choice that can't be undone, like creating a lead form, is never applied when time runs out.
Confirmation cards
Pausing or resuming campaigns, applying budget changes and creating a lead form each wait for your Approve. These cards are refused if time runs out, and anything you type instead sends the request back to Mei. Only one card waits at a time.
Take your time
To remove the 5-minute countdown, turn on Wait for my answers in Settings > Answers. Mei then waits up to 24 hours. See Customize your agents and notifications.
Credit cards
- Out of credits: your message wasn't run and you weren't charged. Click Top up credits. Once the credit arrives, your message is sent again. If it's slow, click Retry now.
- AI credits: Mei suggests a top-up. Click Add credits, or Copy payment link to send it to whoever pays.
See Credits and billing.
Launching
Approving a plan builds a draft. You launch it yourself in the Campaign Builder. See Build and launch a campaign.
