Landing pages and lead forms

On this page

Eva, your Offers & Promotions Lead, builds hosted landing pages. Mei finds or creates the lead forms your LinkedIn and Meta ads open.

Build a landing page

Ask in chat, for example:

  • "Build a landing page for our webinar on October 20."
  • "Create a gated page for the 2026 benchmark report."
  • "Build a demo request page for our ABM product."

Or go to Assets and click Create with AI > Landing page.

Eva writes the copy and builds the page with your logo, colors and fonts, a short list of benefits and one lead form. Pages suit a demo, a gated download, a webinar, a free trial or a contact page. Give Eva the facts to use. Figures and customer names come only from a source: what you give her, or results and logos she verifies on your own published pages.

Note: A landing page goes live as soon as Eva builds it. Anyone with the link can see it.

The page appears as a Landing page card in chat and on the Landing Pages tab of Assets. Click Open page to view it. Each form submission is captured as a lead, and the visitor goes on to a thank-you page.

To fix the colors or the title, ask Eva: "Make the button dark green." The page keeps its address and copy. For new copy, ask for a new version.

When a LinkedIn or Google Ads campaign launches with the page, the page gets that ad account's tracking tag.

Host the page yourself

Click the page's card to open it, click Download, then Download in Download this page. You get a zip with the page and its thank-you page. It includes your Metadata pixel and sends leads to Metadata. Upload the folder to your site's root as it is.

Cookies on your landing pages

Your landing pages, hosted or downloaded, include Metadata's lead capture script. When a visitor arrives from a MetadataONE ad, the script stores the campaign they came from in a first-party cookie, m1_touches, so the lead is credited to the right campaign.

  • It's set only when the visitor arrives through a MetadataONE campaign link.
  • It keeps the 10 most recent MetadataONE campaigns the visitor came from, and expires 30 days after their most recent visit from a MetadataONE ad.

If Metadata Classic campaigns also send visitors to the page, the script sets the Classic cookies too: metadata_cid, md_nid and Metadata_cid_history. Once a LinkedIn or Google Ads campaign launches with the page, the page also carries that ad account's LinkedIn Insight Tag or Google tag, which set their own cookies. If your site lists its cookies in a consent banner or cookie policy, add the ones that apply.

Your landing page address

Pages are served from your own subdomain, such as yourcompany.ad.live. Your first page sets it for you, based on your company's domain, and Eva tells you the address. If it can't be set automatically, Eva asks you to choose one, or to ask an admin.

Admins can also set it before the first page:

  1. Open Settings and click Landing page URL.
  2. Under Landing page subdomain, type a name: letters, numbers and hyphens, not all digits, and not a reserved name like www or api.
  3. Click Save.

Note: Choose the subdomain once. After it's set, Settings shows it as locked. Contact support@metadata.io to change it. Ads already pointing at the old address stop working when it changes.

Lead forms

A LinkedIn lead gen ad, and a Meta leads ad that doesn't send people to a page, open a lead form in your ad account. When you build such a campaign, Mei offers your account's existing forms first. If you need a new one, she shows the form in full. She creates it only after you click Approve.

  • "Use our existing Demo Request form on LinkedIn."
  • "Create a Meta lead form asking for name, work email and company."

A new form is live in your ad account as soon as it's created. Forms can't be edited or deleted from MetadataONE; do that in the ad platform. Assets > Offers lists the lead forms in your connected LinkedIn and Meta ad accounts, and New lead form creates one there.

Google and Microsoft search ads send people to a page with a form. Add Google lead form or image extensions in the Campaign Builder.
