Build and launch a campaign
On this page
You plan and draft campaigns in chat with Mei, then review and launch them in the Campaign Builder. Drafts can run on LinkedIn, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Reddit and X. You can draft before you connect a channel; you connect it before you launch.
From request to launch
- Ask Mei. Click Build a campaign in the chat, or describe what you want. For example: "Build a lead gen campaign on LinkedIn and Meta for our pricing guide, aimed at finance leaders at mid-size US companies. $4,000 a month."
- Answer the cards. Mei asks only for what you haven't told her: objective and budget, what you're advertising, who to reach and where, then channels and ad types.
- Approve the plan. Mei shows a Campaign plan card. Click Approve, or edit it first. See Approvals and decisions.
- The team builds. Zoe makes the creatives and Eva builds a landing page if the plan has one. Mei saves the creatives to your library and saves the campaign as a draft. If the plan includes a custom audience, Mei publishes it to the planned channels and attaches it to the draft.
- Open the draft. The draft card shows Open in builder. Review and finish the campaign there.
- Launch. Click Launch in the Campaign Builder. Nothing launches from chat. See Build a campaign in the Campaign Builder.
Note: On X, Mei drafts single image ads. On Reddit, she drafts awareness, traffic and video view campaigns.
Budgets
- Give a daily, monthly or total budget. A total budget needs start and end dates.
- Budgets use your ad account's currency. Mei splits the budget across channels so the amounts add up.
- Minimum per campaign per day: LinkedIn 10, Meta 5, Reddit 5 (USD, EUR, GBP or CAD). Mei doesn't check a minimum for Google Ads, Microsoft Ads or X; their own limits still apply. If your budget is too small, Mei proposes a split that can launch.
- Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Reddit take daily budgets. A monthly budget is divided into a daily amount, and a total is spread over the dates. The plan shows the daily amount.
- Give no budget and you set it in the Campaign Builder.

UTMs
At launch, links are tagged with your account's UTM settings. To use your own template on Meta, Google Ads or Microsoft Ads, give it to Mei when you build: "Use utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=spring-launch." LinkedIn always uses the account's UTM settings.
Change a live campaign
In chat, the team can:
- Pause or resume whole campaigns: "Pause Q4 Pricing Guide."
- Apply the Optimizer's pending budget changes: "Apply the pending budget changes for my LinkedIn group."
Each one waits for you to click Approve on a card. To copy a campaign, ask Mei for a new draft. To change budgets or bid strategies, or to pause and resume, you can also use the Campaigns page. Change everything else in the ad platform: targeting, ads, keywords, schedule, names, and archiving.
