Connect your integrations

On this page

You connect ad channels, your CRM, your marketing automation tool and analytics on the Integrations screen. You can also ask Raj, your Operations Lead, in chat. Raj opens the same steps for you.

Connect from the Integrations screen

  1. Open the account menu (your account name at the bottom of the left rail) and click Integrations.
  2. Find the tool under Ad channels, CRM, MA tool or Data & analytics, and click the arrow on its row.
  3. Review what Metadata will be able to do. Tick I have the access and permissions required to connect … and click Continue with ….
  4. Sign in to the tool in the pop-up and approve access. The screen shows Waiting for … authorization… until you finish. If no pop-up opens, allow pop-ups for the site and try again.
  5. When the pop-up closes, the tool's settings open. For an ad channel, tick the ad accounts to sync. Some tools need one more choice, such as a Google Analytics property.

Marketo asks for API credentials instead of a sign-in. See Connect Marketo.

Connect in chat

Ask Raj, for example:

  • "Connect LinkedIn."
  • "Connect HubSpot."
  • "Connect Microsoft Ads."

Raj shows a button. Click it, and the connect steps above open over your chat. When you've connected (and, for an ad channel, picked an ad account), close the Integrations window and the conversation carries on. If the tool isn't available on your account, Raj tells you.

Check a connection

Each row on Integrations shows its status:

  • Connected: ready to use.
  • Finish setup: pick an ad account, property or business unit in its settings.
  • Reconnect: the sign-in stopped working. Click it to renew the sign-in. If that fails, disconnect and connect again.
  • Check permissions: the login lost a permission Metadata needs.
  • Coming Soon: not available on your account yet.

Your account holds one CRM and one marketing automation tool at a time. To reconnect, disconnect or add a second login to a channel, see Manage your integrations in MetadataONE.

Note: Oracle Eloqua, Pardot (Account Engagement) and Slack show Coming Soon on most accounts.
