Connect Pardot (Account Engagement) to MetadataONE

Updated Sep 26, 2026 Metadata Classic version
On this page

MetadataONE reads your Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement) prospects and engagement, including MQLs. You sign in through Salesforce.

Before you connect

  • A Salesforce user in your production org who is assigned to your Account Engagement business unit. Sandbox orgs aren't supported.
  • No other marketing automation tool connected.

Connect

  1. Open the account menu (your account name at the bottom of the left rail) and click Integrations.
  2. Under MA tool, click the arrow on the Pardot (Account Engagement) row. Review what Metadata will be able to do, tick I have the access and permissions required to connect Pardot (Account Engagement), and click Continue with Pardot (Account Engagement).
  3. Sign in to Salesforce in the pop-up and approve the request. The screen shows Waiting for Pardot (Account Engagement) authorization… until you finish. If no pop-up opens, allow pop-ups for the site and try again.

Pardot (Account Engagement) Settings then shows the business unit and the Salesforce org ID.

Already connected in Classic?

Your Metadata Classic connection shows up here on its own, read-only, and reporting keeps working. To manage it in MetadataONE, reconnect it: see Manage your integrations in MetadataONE.

Troubleshooting

This Salesforce user has no Account Engagement business unit available

Sign in with a Salesforce user assigned to Pardot, or ask your Salesforce admin to grant that access.

Your org has more than one business unit

MetadataONE can't choose between business units yet. Contact support@metadata.io to connect Pardot.
