Connect Salesforce to MetadataONE

Updated Sep 26, 2026 Metadata Classic version
On this page

MetadataONE reads your opportunities from Salesforce for pipeline and revenue attribution.

Before you connect

  • Salesforce Enterprise, Unlimited, Developer or Performance edition. Professional, Group and Contact Manager editions don't include API access.
  • A Salesforce user with the API Enabled permission who can see the Account and Opportunity fields you report on.
  • If your org restricts connected apps, the user needs Approve Uninstalled Connected Apps, or an admin must approve Metadata's app.
  • No other CRM connected. HubSpot and Salesforce can't be connected at the same time.

Connect

  1. Open the account menu (your account name at the bottom of the left rail) and click Integrations.
  2. Under CRM, click the arrow on the Salesforce row. Review what Metadata will be able to do, tick I have the access and permissions required to connect Salesforce, and click Continue with Salesforce.
  3. If you see Environment, choose Production (your live org) or Sandbox (a test org on test.salesforce.com). This can't be changed later; to switch, disconnect and connect again.
  4. Sign in to Salesforce in the pop-up and approve the request. The screen shows Waiting for Salesforce authorization… until you finish. If no pop-up opens, allow pop-ups for the site and try again.

When the pop-up closes, Salesforce Settings shows who connected, the Salesforce org and its ID, the environment, and whether sync is 2-way sync or Read-only sync.

Already connected in Classic?

Your Metadata Classic connection shows up here on its own, read-only, and reporting keeps working. To manage it in MetadataONE, reconnect it: see Manage your integrations in MetadataONE.
