Connect Marketo to MetadataONE

MetadataONE reads your Marketo leads and their engagement, including MQLs, and writes the leads Metadata generates back to Marketo. Marketo connects with API credentials from your own Marketo instance, not a sign-in pop-up.

Before you connect

A Marketo admin sets this up once:

1. Create a role (for example, Metadata API) with the Access API permissions for reading and writing leads (Read-Write Person) and assets.
2. Create an API-only user with that role.
3. In Admin > LaunchPoint, create a Custom service for that user. Click View Details for its Client ID and Client Secret.

Connect

1. Open the account menu (your account name at the bottom of the left rail) and click Integrations.
2. Under MA tool, click the arrow on the Marketo row, tick the acknowledgement and click Continue.
3. Enter the Munchkin ID (Admin > Munchkin; it's also the first part of your REST host, as in 123-ABC-456.mktorest.com), and the Client ID and Client Secret from the LaunchPoint service.
4. Click Connect Marketo.

Already connected in Classic?

Troubleshooting

That does not look like a Munchkin ID

Check the format. It reads like 123-ABC-456.

Marketo would not authenticate with those credentials

Check the Client ID and Secret, and that the LaunchPoint service and its API-only user are still active in Marketo.
